An accident that occurred early this Sunday morning on the Carretera Troncal de Occidente, left an unfortunate person dead and another injured.
The sinister road occurred when it was approximately 5:00 in the morning, between the municipalities of Sampués and Chinú.
According to the National Police report, the fatal victim of the events was a woman who accompanied the police second lieutenant, Cristian Reyes Numa, who was injured.
The woman, who would be the second lieutenant’s wife, died almost instantly, given the severity of the injuries sustained.

The couple was mobilized in the automobile type Chevrolet Aveo, gray color and with plates CZJ-688, which was destroyed in its front part.
Supposedly, the car went off the road at the height of the site known as “Cardenitas” and collided with a separator.
The injured person, who serves as commander of the Sampués municipality Police Station, was referred to the Sampués hospital and is stable.
The Chief of the Traffic and Transport Section of Sucre, Major Julián Andrés Flórez Arias, reported that they began the respective investigations to establish the causes of the accident.
