The thirty-sixth player in the world, Siniaková, was again close to elimination. In Tuesday’s battle against Japan’s Sajaka Ishiiova, she confirmed her place as the only favorite after avoiding three match points and saving a game that was almost lost. Today, she lost to Bouzasová in the first 0:4, in the second set she was always behind with breaks and in the third set she already lost 3:5.

However, Siniaková mastered the tie-break with the 80th seed. From 2:2, she won five balls. She celebrated her breakthrough after a wild match in which she made 13 double faults and lost serve nine times. For the semi-finals, she will play either against another Spaniard, Sara Sorribesová, or the home American, Peyton Stearnsová.
