“Single, Married, Widowed and Divorced” the successful box office record comedy in Venezuela from 2014 to 2018, original by Argentine Román Sarmentero under the direction of Dairo Piñeres, returns to the Caracas stages starting Friday, May 26 at the Center Cultural BOD.
Starring four leading men, the piece that walks through the four civil states of the human being, will remind the entire public of the resounding success that it was in its previous seasons.
Xavier Muñoz the Single, Karl Hoffmann the Married, Marcos Moreno the Widower and Rolando Padilla the Divorced. These four friends will meet by chance to inevitably end up talking about the only subject that cannot be missing: the truth about women.
Each one, from the point of view of their marital status, will present their own vision of women. Going through various states of mind -which director Piñeres perfectly resolves on stage through subtle changes in wardrobe elements- this exemplary quartet will walk through indecision, mischief, apathy and shyness to tell us about all their experiences with their partners. Experiences that, although they do not know it, will constitute true dramas that will make the viewer laugh endlessly.
Themes such as infidelity, virility, love or male independence are revealed in a comedy tone by these four characters, who will end up reflecting on how important women are in the life of men and vice versa.
The technical team of the show is made up of professionals from the theater of Venezuela. The photography is by Marcos Mancera, graphic design by Moisés Berr, Yoel Díaz Press, assistance by Carlos Velarde, direction by Dairo Piñeres and production by Carlos Chacón and Rolando Padilla.
