2020 was a great challenge for every musician, also for the Neustädter band “Up Close” with the musicians David Oberger, Florentin Pinter, Peter Buchhas and Bernhard Fries. But they also defied Corona.
In a positive mood, they will continue in 2021: They recently released their new single “On My Own”. “As a young and independent band we really put a lot of effort and passion into this song and are more than happy to present our first self-produced single. With the finishing touches to the mastering by none other than Martin Scheer, the result can really be seen and, above all, heard, ”says the band happily about their personal success.
And that was not enough, they could also be seen live on the breakfast TV station Café Puls: “We won a voting in the ‘Wall Of Fame’ format thanks to our numerous fans”, they were happy to be able to present their single. It was also played on Radio 88.6.
The four musicians went one better last week with the publication of the accompanying music video and they had a great backdrop: It was shot in the old walls of the casemates together with Matthias Schultner – of course, in compliance with all Corona measures and prior testing. The single “On My Own” is about being left alone with the inner conflict, but gives the listener the feeling of not being alone.
