Single-family houses: Wandsbek shows new space | NDR.de – news

Single-family houses can still be built in the Wandsbek district. Recently, new areas have been designated for this, for example in the districts of Marienthal, Volksdorf and Farmsen-Berne.

Single-family houses and single-house development characterize Hamburg’s largest district, especially on the outskirts. That won’t change anytime soon. According to the district’s response to a request from the FDP parliamentary group, almost 1,500 individual houses were built between 2015 and 2019 alone. There is also no recommendation from the administration to approve fewer new single-family houses in the future. The FDP parliamentary group asked after the North District had caused nationwide debates.

North district: No new single-family houses

Because there the green-red government coalition had decided not to include single-family houses in new development plans. The Wandsbek FDP welcomes the fact that there is no blanket ban on single-family houses in their district. At the same time, she advocates sensible densification, provided that the character of individual districts is preserved. And the red-green government faction in Wandsbek does not want to ban the construction of individual houses.
