Kochi: Liabilities of late famous Malayalam film music composer Ravindran Master’s wife Shobhana’s flat
‘Samam’, a group of Malayalam film singers, has set an example for the Samasvaswameki. Shobhana was living on the top floor of a house at Palachuvadu in Vennala, Ernakulam with a debt of 12 lakhs.
The plight of Shobhana who believed an event management company in Bengaluru who had come to hold an event called ‘Ravindra Sangeetasandhya’ on the promise of giving Shobhana a flat and Rs 25 lakhs was in the media. Following this, all the singers who made a name for themselves by singing Ravindran Master’s songs decided to come together and pay Shobhana’s debt. In the situation of losing the flat they got as the price of Ravindran Mash’s music, all the singers took the initiative and collected money and got the flat back for Shobhana.
Samat Chairman K.J. Yesudas, Vice Chairperson K.S. The initiative was brought about by Chitra, producer Johnny Sagariga and various unions of the film body FEFCA. FEFCA General Secretary B. Unnikrishnan, music director Deepak Dev, FEFCA Music Directors Union officials, Mohiuddin (KEORA) Chief Settlement Officer Adv. Sreekumar, Ratheesh Subhash, Honey and others were all directly and indirectly involved in fundraising.
Equal office bearers are singer Sudheep Kumar, singer Sitara Krishnakumar, singer R. The documents of the flat were handed over to Sobhana Ravindran in a ceremony attended by Ravi Shankar FEFCA Music Directors Union office bearers Sanand George, Anil Gopalan and others. The documents were handed over directly at Vennala Emerald Apartment.
