Singer Windy Idol Denies Involvement in Alleged Bribery Case with Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan

KPK has examined singer Windy Yunita Ghemary or Windy ‘Idol’ as a witness in the alleged bribery case with the suspected Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan. Windy also denied a number of issues that dragged his name into this case.

The KPK itself has not explained the details of the construction of the case that made Hasbi Hasan a suspect. The KPK guarantees that the determination of the suspect against Hasbi will be carried out on the basis of sufficient evidence.

“Following up on the existence of evidence obtained by the investigative team from the statements of the suspects and witnesses in the bribery case handling cases at the Supreme Court. It is true that the KPK has named two parties as suspects, namely an official at the Supreme Court and a private person,” said Head of KPK Reporting Unit Ali Fikri told journalists, Wednesday (10/5/2023).

The private party who became the suspect was named Dadan Tri Yudianto. Ali said the development of the alleged bribery case was a form of the KPK’s seriousness in investigating allegations of bribery in the handling of cases at the Supreme Court.

“This case is one of the KPK’s commitments not to stop developing every case that has sufficient evidence and to bring accountable parties before the law,” he said.

Hasbi was checked KPK as a suspect, but Hasbi has not been arrested. Hasbi then filed a pretrial lawsuit against the KPK.

Even though it has not arrested Hasbi or explained the construction of the case, the KPK has prevented a number of parties related to this case from traveling abroad. One of them is Windy Idol.

Windy has been prevented from going abroad since January 12, 2023 and is valid for 6 months. Most recently, the KPK examined Windy Idol as a witness.

After being questioned, Windy delivered rebuttals on a number of issues related to him in this case. Here are three rebuttals by Windy Idol regarding the alleged bribery case of Hasbi Hasan:

Windy ‘Idol’ admitted that she did not know about the case that ensnared Hasbi Hasan. He also admitted that he did not receive anything related to the alleged bribery case of Hasbi Hasan.

“What is certain is that I have absolutely nothing to do with this case,” said Windy at the KPK, South Jakarta, Monday (29/5/2023).

“What is certain is 100 percent that I did not interfere in this case. What did I say as a liaison. Please don’t be unjust to me,” he continued.
