Renowned for its cultural richness and magnificent mosaics, the city of Saint-Louis in Senegal is preparing to host the 4th edition of the Autour des Cordes festival, one of the largest cultural events in the region.
This unmissable event will be held from October 31 to November 2, 2024 and will enliven several localities and educational establishments in the northern capital with a series of concerts and shows.

Led by the famous kora virtuoso, Ablaye Cissoko, this festival highlights plucked string instruments such as the kora, guitar, setâr, qanoûn, oud, as well as the line-up. Previous editions have seen the participation of international figures such as Fatoumata Diawara and Bessekou Kouyaté, contributing to the growing success of the event.
This year, among the selected artists is Rema Diop, one of the rising stars of the Senegalese music scene. The young singer, whose hits are a sensation, has made herself known through the original music of several Senegalese television series, thus captivating a wide audience.

Other internationally renowned artists will also be present, such as Christine Zayed (Palestine/France), Julia Sarr (Senegal), Nordic Light (Canada/Iran/Norway) and Siân Pottok (Belgium). This festival once again promises to bring together talents from the four corners of the world to celebrate musical and cultural diversity around stringed instruments.
