Singer Philippe Tremblay on his way to Broadway

This is where the tour of the new version of the musical Notre-Dame-de-Paris begins. He interprets the bell ringer Quasimodo, a complex role that requires a lot of preparation according to him.

He has been working on his acting and his voice for more than a year and a half: Luc Plamondon, the lyricist of the musical, indeed contacted him in February 2021 to do the auditions.

Since then, to put himself in the shoes of his character, he notably exchanged with Garou, his coach in La Voix, but also the first interpreter of the Hunchback of Notre-Dame in 1997. And his preparation is not finished since he one week remains until the first performance on July 13.

After New York, the troupe of Notre-Dame-de-Paris will set sail for Moncton, New Brunswick, at the end of July. The artists will then perform six performances in Ottawa, before going on tour in Quebec, until September 14.
