“I want to become an actor.” Singer M Pokora makes no secret of his ambitions. Questioned in the JDD this Sunday, he says he wants to give a new direction to his career.
“But the offers I receive are often romantic comedies or roles for young people and athletes,” he regrets, however, explaining that he prefers films “the antipodes of what (he) can represent.”
M Pokora rather dreams of films like “Lord of war, The last king of Scotland, Drive, or Blade Runner”.
The singer played in the TV film The First Forgotten, alongside Muriel Robin, the role of a son whose mother suffers from Alzheimer’s, a subject which touches him, because his grandfather “was carried away by this disease “.
He also tried his hand at theater, in a comedy called Les Grandes ambitions directed by Philippe Lellouche.
A series and a film
Since 2016, Matt Pokora has been lending his voice to the character of Branch in Trolls., dubbed in the original version by Justin Timberlake. The third part of the adventures of Branch (M Pokora) and Poppy (Vitaa) returns to theaters on October 18.
M Pokora is currently on tour to celebrate her 20 years of career and support her album Epicenter, released in November 2022. Her tour which began in June 2023 at the Paris La Défense Arena will end in June 2024.
