Jyotsna heartily noted that it was a beautiful birthday after a long period of restrictions and her mind was now going back to every memory from when her son was a baby. ‘Many say that it is not until the age of ten or twelve that children begin to love their parents unconditionally and see them as the best figures in their lives. It is generally said that after that age they find their own way, have opinions, choose friends and create a world of their own.
Yesterday was my baby’s 8th birthday. This birthday was to end the strict restrictions that had been imposed for some time. But many thoughts as a mother filled my mind. Everyone wants babies to grow up fast and become independent. That way parents can find their own time. But after a while, parents will want to go back to those old days when they see old pictures of their babies.
Unknowingly, we reach the fond memories of babies’ first walk, first tooth, first day of school, etc. I am learning new things from my baby everyday and he is teaching me a lot. I don’t need to be the perfect mom. Just my presence with him is enough’, noted Jyotsna.
