Together with the jubilee, both musicians with whom the singer has collaborated during his career, as well as composers who wrote songs specifically for Igo’s voice, will take the stage, and Igo’s “golden repertoire” – songs he sang with bands – will be played at the concerts. Livi, Remix, Liepāja brothers, and fragments from the rock opera by Sigmars Liepiņš bear predator, operas Notre Dame etc. works that were important for both Igo and Latvia.
“These will be concerts where you will hear compositions that listeners always want to hear and are waiting for, that evoke emotions, memories that you can sing along with; compositions that have survived the test of time and are still listened to by several generations,” says Igo.
It should be added that the musician is still active, and even in the last few years he composed compositions that have gained great popularity today, so along with these songs, earlier hits written by Raimonds Pauls, Zigmars Liepiņš, Āriks ĶiĶelis, Jānis Strazds, Jānis Lūsēns will also be played at the concerts. , Mārtiņš Brauns, Uldis Marhilevičs, Aivars Hermanis, Valts Puce and also Igo himself. In the last ten years, Igo has also actively focused on visual art: top graphics, self-designed objects and tableware series. Every year Igo’s works are seen in exhibitions in Latvia and beyond its borders. In parallel, Igo is developing a music and art center in Mežotne oven, where tours and master classes are conducted.
Igo design items, music albums, dishes and books will be available for purchase at the venues of the anniversary concert. After the concerts, anyone who wants will have the opportunity to take a photo and get an autograph.
