The motto of the festival is: “Give the summer a kniff!”
As the team of festival organizers told the press conference, “Knifs?” has emerged as a continuation of the famous Baltic country music festival “Country Bauska”. Due to the challenges posed by the pandemic, this measure has been canceled this year. According to the organizers of the new festival, “Kinfs?” will be held with a respectful attitude towards the achievements of its team, but now taking a step forward and setting new challenges.
Igo says that this year the festival will focus on the guitar. The stylization of this instrument can also be seen in the festival logo.

Concerts at the festival will take place on the stage of Bauska Castle Mound Park on two stages – “Knifs?” stage and club “etc” stage, which will not only complement the program, but also offer special musical surprises to visitors after midnight. The main line-up of the musicians of the club “etc” – Juris Kristons, Egons Kronbergs, Mārtiņš Burkevics and Vilnis Krieviņš will entertain the festival enthusiasts who want to sing and dance all night long.
The first day of the festival
On the first day of the Bauska Festival, July 1, country music and rock and roll will dominate on both stages. Concert on “Knifs?” The stage will start at 6 pm, when the rock and roll singer Ivars Pētersons, the OJA Trio, as well as the popular groups “Ducele”, “Klaidonis” and “Big Al & The Jokers” will play. At the end of the first day, at 11 pm, a special event will be dedicated to the memory of the Latvian country music legend Edvins Zariņš. Several musicians will join the group “Dakota”, getting into the mood of “Dakota” music and performing well-known songs of Edvīns Zariņš. As Igo said at the press conference, he will not reveal yet which musicians will sing Zariņš’s songs, but one of them will definitely be the organizer of the festival.

The second day of the festival
Knifs of the festival? The second day, July 2, will begin at 12 noon with a concert “Invisible Presence” by guitarist Armands Alkšnis and organist Ilona Birģele at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Bauska on donations in support of Ukraine.
The second day’s concert on the stage of Bauska Castle Mound Park will start at 2 pm Outstanding and beloved musicians will take the stage, all of whom have their own special “knifs” – the band “Big Friday”, Aija Vītoliņa and Aivars Hermanis, Mārcis Auziņš, Vjačeslavs Mitrohins, “Inokentijs Mārpls” , “Happiness Complete,” “Livs,” “The Hobos & Ralph Eilands,” and Igo.
In turn, the close-up stage of the club “etc” will not leave indifferent fans of singer Muuna, Baiba Ērgle, Ilona Balode, Valērijs Cīrulis, as well as the groups “Secret” and “Lavrix Blues Band”. After midnight, Jānis Strazds will sit at the keys to give a concert with “etc” musicians Egons Kronbergs, Mārtiņš Burkevics and Vilnis Krieviņš.
