Mr. Lee is accused of causing an accident by himself near Hannam Bridge and Dongho Bridge in the direction of Guri on Gangbyeonbuk-ro at 23:25 the previous day while driving under the influence of alcohol.
The vehicle crashed into the right guardrail and overturned, and the man traveling with Leeru was known to have sustained relatively minor injuries.
Lee’s blood alcohol level as measured by police immediately after the crash was a level equivalent to license suspension (0.03% or more and less than 0.08%).
A police official said: “After taking the alcohol test, he returned home, and after investigating the circumstances of the accident, we will decide whether the passenger will also be charged with aiding and abetting drink driving.”
