Singer Emma Heesters (28) has cancer. She shares that message on Instagram. She was diagnosed at the beginning of last month, after which she experienced “intense” weeks.
“One day I was in the hospital for appointments or treatments and the next day I was playing in Ahoy, Gelredome or on my theater tour,” she writes.
Heesters will undergo chemotherapy in the coming months and has cleared her schedule for at least three months. She also wants “peace and space” in the coming months. “I am confident that I will be healthy again,” Heesters writes in the conclusion of her message. She also emphasizes that she would like to play again when the process is over.

Heesters made progress on YouTube: on her channel she sang covers of famous songs and soon gained a large following. In 2017 she signed her first record deal and in 2019 she took part in the popular TV show Dear Singers.
