This is a new extract from his latest album, “L’amour alas”. The singer will perform next month at La Cigale.
Clio leaves room for his soul in his new single, Big deal, which it accompanies by a clip. The 34-year-old singer contemplates the moon through the window of a messy apartment before going out to a nightclub, while singing a lament to the ex who dumped her:
“Tonight, it’s great, he’s gone, the great deal / Me I drink glasses, and glasses, and glasses / I do not know where he sleeps, I set the dancefloor on fire”, sings -she tear in the eye between two cocktails.
Soon at La Cigale
This is the fourth single from Clio’s third album, after Have I lost my way?, She would like, The apartment and Someone somewhere. Entitled Love alas, this third opus was released last April, with a major guest on one of the tracks: The apartment is a duet with American superstar Iggy Pop.
“When I wrote this song, I imagined an American actor, then with my team we thought about the records that Iggy Pop had sung in French a few years ago”, she explains to France 3 Regions. “Even though we weren’t able to meet, he was charming and generous, it all happened naturally”
After a long period of pandemic not very conducive to meetings with the public, Clio will reconnect with the latter on November 15 during a concert at La Cigale.
