Singer Britney Spears has lost her baby

The 40-year-old Spears reported on the social network “Instagram” a month ago that she was expecting her third baby, but posted a statement on Saturday that a miscarriage had unfortunately taken place. “We are deeply saddened to report that we have lost our prodigy at the very beginning of our pregnancy. It is difficult for any parent. Maybe we should have waited for the pregnancy to be announced, but we were so excited we couldn’t keep up,” she writes.

Spears and her fiancé Sam Ashgar added that at this difficult time, we are drawing strength in love for each other: “We will continue our efforts to unite our family. Thank you for your support during this time, but please respect your privacy,” the couple said.

Ashgari, 28, has no children yet, but Spears is the mother of two teenagers aged 15 and 16, whose father is Kevin Federlain, Spear’s ex-husband.
