entertainment">BJ Thomas had his big break with the hit Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head, the soundtrack to the feature film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. But he also previously scored a hit with the love song Hooked on a Feeling, of which more than a million singles were sold. This song was recently featured prominently in the Marvel hit Guardians of the Galaxy.

entertainment">He sang the title song for the television series Growing Pains. The singer had other successful songs with Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song, Rock and Roll Lullaby, I Just Can’t Help Believing on Whatever Happened to Old-Fashioned Love.

entertainment">In March 2021, BJ Thomas announced on his Facebook page that he had lung cancer. He was treated at a Texas hospital, but died more than two months later at his home in Arlington, Texas. The singer leaves behind a wife and three daughters.
