Singer Basma Bousil has sparked controversy over the past few hours because of her singing of the song “Places,” which was originally by singer Mohamed Abdo.

Bousil had presented a cover of the song “Places” in her voice, and dedicated it through the “short stories” feature, through her official Instagram account, to the spirit of her father.

In his first reaction to Basma Bousil’s singing of the song “Places,” the artist Mohamed Abdo decided to file a lawsuit against her for exploiting his song without asking him for permission or obtaining approval for what she did on his part.

Basma Bousil said on Instagram: “Even the covers of the places I made for my father said they wanted to sue me for that.”

Basma Bousil added: “I do not understand why I am the only one who is held accountable for my desire to make a cover. I am very sad that I am erasing something I did with all my feelings towards my father. Personally, if I had artistic credit, I would not have disappointed anyone who would love to sing something to me in my life.” the end”.

It is noteworthy that Basma Bousil recently released the song “Give Us Childhood” in support of the Palestinian cause.

Basma published the song on a picture of herself with the “flag” of Palestine printed on it, through her official Instagram account, and commented: “How hideous the world is in their eyes… a world stripped of its humanity and principles, but God is true… forgive us, Palestine… we did nothing.” Without shedding tears, stop the ethnic cleansing in Gaza.”
