Singer Asala Nasri celebrated the engagement of her son, Anas Nasri, as she shared pictures of her engagement party with her followers.
Asala published the pictures, through her Instagram account, and commented: “This moon in the picture is my brother Anas, the owner of the sweetest heart in this universe.. The warm, kind, ambitious heart that is dearest to my heart and soul.
And she added, “We loved her, her name is Nihal Badr, may God bless you, and your journey will be sweet in all the sweet times.. Congratulations on your love story, and congratulations on this joy.”
And Asala Nasri had deleted all the publications of her party, which took place on May 5 in Lake Cairo, next to the National Museum of Civilization.
Asala deleted all promotional videos and posters for the party from her official Facebook account, while she kept only one promotional video for the party on her Instagram account.
The attack on Asala’s concert began when she announced it, so activists launched the hashtag “You are not welcome” and demanded the cancellation of the ceremony because of her statement in the Riyadh season, in which she said: “My history is entirely credited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia only, which I will remain a city for a lifetime.”
At the time, the audience considered that what she declared was considered ungrateful and favored Egypt for her artistic career, especially since most of her works are in the Egyptian dialect and in cooperation with composers and poets from Egypt.
The concert is also the first after the crisis of statements made by the singer Asala, and because of it she was attacked by musician Helmy Bakr, who accused her of denying Egypt’s role in her artistic career.
