When you see her, you’d think the young woman came straight from the “bird convent”. But when she starts singing, GiedRé spares no one and, far from pale sentimentality, she talks about real topics, suffering, loneliness, illness, abandonment, consumer society, feminism, mourning … with false candor, all in a delicate laugh. !
Nothing vulgar, distressing, complacent: she just calls a spade, a spade!
Lithuanian, who arrived in France at the age of 7, her singing tour (we are not at the concert, not even at the theater, but halfway between the music hall and the stand-up) is an authentic show, with a corrosive and incisive character humor.
A thousand leagues from the “busy song”, which merrily mocks, GiedRé is not interested in ideas, but in people, their banality and complexity.
Extravagant and hilarious!
