The Belgian singer and actress Annie Cordy Friday near the southern French Cannes deceased. That had informed her niece Michèle Lebon. She turned 92. Léonie Cooreman, stage name Annie Cordy, comes from the Brussels borough of Laeken. She moved to Paris at a young age and has developed a career as a singer, actress and comedian. Known songs are “Tata Yoyo” and “La bonne du curé”.
In 2004 she was ennobled by King Albert II. Annie Cordy has since been allowed to call herself Baroness. In 2013 she was also promoted to Commander of the Order of the Crown. A park in her home town Interlaken was named after her in 2018.
