According to a recent survey commissioned by Moderna Biotech Singapore and the Asia Pacific Immunization Coalition (APIC), doctors are growing concerned over the increasingly complacent attitude displayed by Singapore residents towards COVID-19. With 87% of respondents stating that they do not believe COVID-19 poses a high risk to their health and 35% indicating they do not plan to take booster vaccinations in the future, despite 38% agreeing that there is enough data to support the need for them, this lack of concern is a worrying trend. Dr Ong Kian Chung, president of Singapore’s Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Association, says that with the virus still causing trouble in Singapore and around the world, it’s crucial to stay protected, especially with the economy opening up and people travelling.
