Singapore is hit by flash floods due to heavy rain

Flash floods reported to occur in several sections Singapore, in the middle of heavy rain that flushed the area on Saturday afternoon local time. Flood-stricken areas include Bukit Timah, Jurong, and Ulu Pandan.

One resident who lives along Jurong East Street 32 ​​said the area “has never been flooded like this before”. The resident, who did not want to be named, said the police had closed the area to prevent cars from crossing.

Another resident, Varun Arora, who lives in Bukit Timah opposite the King Albert Park MRT station, told CNA, even though he had seen flood in that area before, had never been this bad.
