“Estonia’s Erki Sven’s Eighth Symphony will feature a frighteningly realistic scene, with metallic hammers bubbling in a dark pot and a pinch of grotesque heresy. In addition to the visually stimulating depictions, “In commemoration of the tragic events in Ukraine, the composition is gaining new significance,” said a spokesman for the orchestra.

Roman Lelle is the winner of the prestigious French prize “Victoires de la Musique”. His musical scope is wide – from baroque music to works by 21st century authors. Lelle performs as a soloist with the most important French and European orchestras, including the French National Orchestra, the Lille National Orchestra, the Brandenburg State Orchestra in Frankfurt, etc.

He regularly performs in chamber music projects with organist Thierry Escaich, pianists François Dumont and Frank Braley, trumpet player Ibrahim Maalouf and many others.

Roman Leel represents the classical French trumpet school, but his adventurous spirit still makes him look for new horizons and possibilities for the technical expression of the instrument. His works have premiered works by contemporary composers such as Martin Matalon, Philippe Hersant, Karol Beffa, Jean-Baptiste Robin and Vincent Peirani.

In 2010, Roman Lele invited prominent French musicians of his generation, violinists Gijoma Antonini and Manuel Dutrelan, violinist Alfons Derviers, cellist Caroline Buetta and double bassist Philip Blair, to unite in his unique chamber music project “Convergences Ensemble”. Since its inception, the sextet has released a number of recordings (Aparté / Harmonia Mundi and Sony music publishers) and has participated in almost all major French academic music festivals, as well as performed in many foreign countries.

Lele is one of the leaders of the trumpet department at the Lyon Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique.
