As of 18:30, 85% of subscribers have returned electricity to the region and 55% to Kharkiv, informed broadcast on the national telethon, the head of HOVA Oleg Sinegubov.
“We now have a region that is 85% partially connected. There are some communities and districts left where we have yet to restore power. As for Kharkov, we already have 55% of the city powered and we have electricity. About two hours ago we started supplying electricity to the water utility, our heating networks, as well as other critical infrastructure, treatment plants across the city of Kharkov. Therefore, we are now working to gradually connect the districts with the housing stock,” said the president of HOVA.
According to him, energy engineers will work until midnight and by then they expect to power 100% of Kharkov and the region.
Recall that ten Russian S-300 missiles were fired in the Kharkiv region by the Russian military on the morning of December 16, two cruise missiles shot down the air defense forces. Consequentially the entire region has been de-energized.
At 17:43 Sinegubov informedwhich in Kharkov began to return the light, and the Zmievskaya, Izyumskaya, Bogodukhovskaya, Lozovskaya, Balakliyskaya, Novovodolazhskaya and Krasnokutskaya communities of the region were also partially fed.
