Sinéad O’Connor has canceled all her performances for the next five months. She made this decision because of the death of her 17-year-old son Shane in January, her management reports.
“Sinéad O’Connor will not perform for the rest of the year due to the mourning of her late son Shane,” said 67 Management, which said it was a difficult decision for O’Connor. “But she has to choose for her own health and well-being”.
Management would like to thank all of O’Connor’s friends and fans for their support. “Love has brought her a lot of support.”
In January, O’Connor announced that her 17-year-old son Shane “has decided to end his daily struggle on Earth” and that he is “now with God”. Shane was suicidal and was treated for it in a clinic.
Although he was supervised 24 hours a day, he managed to get out. After being missing for two days, he was found lifeless.
