In Bashkiria, three HIV-infected children were identified in three months of 2020. In total, 636 cases of virus infection were recorded among people of all ages.
In particular, HIV was detected in two children under 15 years old and one teenager. According to the Center for Combating AIDS and Infectious Diseases of the Republic of Belarus, as of March 31, 226 children and 37 adolescents are registered in Bashkiria with a diagnosis of HIV.
Most often, the immunodeficiency virus in Bashkiria is detected at the age of 31-40 years. This year, 278 people from this age group found out about their diagnosis. Next are the following age groups: 41-50 years old – 154 HIV-infected, 21-30 years old – 87, 51-60 years old – 71, older than 60 years old – 32, 18-20 years old – 10.
