Toyota Advance still has not penetrated the first position of the best-selling car in Indonesia since it has a new face. Whereas before, the Avanza seemed difficult to shift from its throne as the best-selling car.
In December 2021 for example, the Toyota Avanza only occupies the 5th position of the most sought after car. Continuing in the January 2022 period, according to detikOto notes, the Toyota Avanza was actually knocked out of the top 10 best-selling cars. Avanza at that time occupied the 12th position. Meanwhile, Veloz is more superior by occupying the 4th place.

In February 2022, Avanza’s position is better than Veloz. PT Toyota Astra Motor also agrees. Marketing Director of PT TAM Anton Jimmi Suwandy said his party was still monitoring the stability of the Avanza and Veloz.
March, Avanza continues to improve its position. The Toyota Avanza in March 2022 occupies the 2nd position on the list of best-selling cars in Indonesia, right below the Kijang Innova. Avanza wholesales distribution in March 2022 reached 5,979 units.
His position is now reversed with Veloz. Veloz instead perched in 11th place with 3,224 units. Looking at these sales figures, it seems that the new-looking Avanza may need adjustments before finally reclaiming the throne of the best-selling car.
Just a reminder, Toyota Avanza and Veloz are now no longer a part. If Veloz initially appeared as the top variant of the Avanza, now Veloz has become a separate brand in the low MPV class which is a little more luxurious.
Toyota is now making the Avanza and Veloz totally different and targeting different segments. Anton has also said that the Avanza is intended for first-time car buyers who want high value for money or the price paid is commensurate with the goods they get.
As for the All New Veloz, it turns out to be prepared for potential buyers who want a car with more sophisticated features and a more luxurious style. Not surprisingly, according to the Toyota All New Veloz, more people buy their cars or even additional cars.
