Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– The soaring shares of PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk (BANK) brought many blessings to retail investors and institutional investors.
Since the beginning of the floor or listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) at the level of Rp. 103/unit on February 1 last, until now its shares are traded at the level of Rp. 3,500/share, aka BANK shares have shot up 3.398% of the initial public offering price ( initial public offering/IPO).
This profit was also obtained by one of the giant institutional investors holding BANK securities since the beginning of the floor last February.
Yes, not many know that one of the Sinar Mas group companies, namely PT Sinar Mas Multifinance, holds BANK securities.
However, it is not the shares of BANK that are held by the Sinar Mas group, but the securities of the warrants.
Warrants are the right to buy shares or bonds from an issuer at a predetermined price by the issuer of the warrants/issuer company, usually issued by the issuer at the time of the IPO with the intention of giving a sweetener or sweetener so that the shares sell.
Since the beginning of the floor last February, Sinar Mas Multifinance has 170.8 million BANK warrants or 6.10% outstanding warrants. The ownership remains unchanged until KSEI releases the share ownership at the end of June 2021.
When referring to the price of BANK’s warrants which are currently traded at Rp. 3,200/unit, it means that the warrants belonging to the Sinar Mas Group are worth Rp. 546 billion.
Meanwhile, when referring to the redemption value of BANK warrants at Rp 110 and the current BANK price at Rp 3,500/unit, then later when the warrant redemption period has started, Sinar Mas Group has the potential to how up to IDR 579 billion.
Currently, the shares of the bank, formerly known as Bank Net Syariah Indonesia, are traded in the green zone with an increase of 0.57% to a price level of Rp. 3,700/unit.
Today’s transaction value is quite busy at Rp 122 billion with a market capitalization of Rp 46 trillion. During the past week, BANK has increased by 2.34%, while during the month, BANK has increased by 19.45%.
As for BANK shares, referring to data as of June 2021, this former Maybank Syariah bank shares PT NTI Global Indonesia holds the majority with a share of 60.55%, then Bortoli International Ltd with 20.01% and Kasai Universal Inc with 6.18%, with the remaining 13.36% for the public.
