BatuNetwork.id – Changes in the Form of Objects is science material presented to Class V Elementary School students. After getting to know and identifying the properties of solid, liquid, and gas objects, students are introduced to the matter of changes in the shape of objects.
Changes in the form of objects that are introduced to students include freezing, melting, evaporating, condensing, subliming, and crystallizing or deposition.
Some examples of events that change the nature of things can be shown easily by teachers through everyday events.
For example, freezing events can be demonstrated with the example of making ice cubes from water frozen in the refrigerator.
Or the easiest is the event of condensation which can be shown when serving cold drinks in bottles or glasses where there is dew due to being left at room temperature.
Unlike freezing and condensing, sublimation and crystallization changes cannot be demonstrated easily to students.
There are many media sources and learning videos circulating today. If students do not personally experience their learning experience, then their understanding of the material will be affected.
Experiments or trials are fun learning activities for students. For this reason, it would be better if students understand the concept of material by having learning experiences through experimentation.
The following are the tools and materials needed to carry out simple sublimation and crystallization experiments.
Tools and materials :
1 brick cut into 2 parts
1-2 candles
1 match
1 can of used cigarettes/candy
