Simone Inzaghi want to linger in Inter Milan. Something the same is done Pep Guardiola and Juergen Klopp with their respective clubs.
Inzaghi has coached Inter since the summer of 2021. He then led Inter to win the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup twice each.
Last season, Inzaghi took Inter to the Champions League final. However, Lautaro Martinez et al. had to settle for being runner-up after being defeated by Manchester City.
This achievement was enough to make Inter want to extend Inzaghi’s contract until 2025. The agreement was made last September.
Inzaghi was then asked if he wanted to emulate Guardiola and Klopp in remaining at the club for many years. The former Lazio coach emphasized that this is the target of all coaches.
“That’s the target. I think this applies to every coach,” Inzaghi said in a press conference ahead of playing Real Sociedad in the Champions League.
Inzaghi started coaching at a professional level in 2016 with Lazio. He serves for Biancocelsete until 2021.
“I spent several years at Lazio, and I hope to stay here (Inter) as long as possible, but it is the pitch that speaks. We know the coach is assessed in every game, at every step,” he stressed.
