Simon Nitsche (30), known as a sports anchor and “Shall we dance” winner, has got a new job.

The news that Nitsche is leaving the sports news on TV 2 came in January. At the time, the 30-year-old was secretive about where the road went next, other than that he kept the opportunity open for further cooperation with the channel.
Now the cat is out of the bag, and TV 2 can on Wednesday morning announce that Nitsche will lead a completely new program entitled “In fire and flame”.
– It will be great to lead an entertainment program on TV 2, Nitsche says in the announcement from the channel and adds that he sees it as a vote of confidence.
– And it’s nice that there are more than mom who have the threat. I’m looking forward to it, he says.
Celebrity competition
“In flames” means that three celebrity duos in each broadcast claim that they have completed the wildest, strangest and most daring challenges – as all are documented on video.
The question and the moment of tension is just whether they actually tell the truth when they say they have completed.
– When I heard about the program for the first time, I thought that this party I can not miss. There will be humor, madness and competition hand in hand, with lots of nice people stopping by, Nitsche states.
– My right element
The incoming host tells VG that the celebrities who will participate have already been selected, but that it is a secret for so long who they are.
– And then we will have two guest judges in each program. There will be lots of nice people, he promises.
A little nerves know the TV profile on.
– I am looking forward the most and have great faith in the concept. It makes me calm. But a little I’m probably nervous before the first broadcast. This is something other than the sports news, he says and laughs.
– At the same time – competition I recognize from my previous everyday life, so I am in my right element.
–Kathrine Haldorsen, program editor at TV 2, is pleased to want Nitsche back on the channel, even though it is only barely three weeks since he had his last day of work in the sports editorial office.
– We look forward to seeing him flourish in the role of host, says Haldorsen.
The recording will take place this spring, but no date for the premiere has been set.
The program will be broadcast once a week over ten weeks. The concept originates from the Netherlands, and in England it has settled under the name “Pants On Fire”.
–It was in November last year that Nitsche and dance instructor Helene Spilling (25) swung all the way to the top in «Shall we dance». Then the sports profile had been a favorite and “talkie” in social media for weeks.
When the dance bubble had burst, Nitsche admitted to VG that it was nice to be done with the hard drive.
– But it’s sad too. I have some withdrawal symptoms, he confided.
