Simon Kearney announces his third album, AMÉRICA, for September 2022


The singer-songwriter, animator and director will launch his third work, AMERICAon September 30th.

After producing several albums, including those of Étienne Coppée, Jérôme 50, Kinkead, Émile Bilodeau and creating the web series Pleasure of cutting on Noovo, here is that Simone Kearney comes back with a new album. Three years later open housethe musician will throw AMERICA next September 30th. This new version will draw on pop, soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop and rock’n’roll. Kearney he sought his inspiration from several artists, including Prince, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa and Jean Leloup.

AMERICA consists of 12 original songs in French that play with pop codes. The themes talk about “going to the end of your dreams and living every day as if there was no tomorrow”, we learn through a press release. The first excerpt from this long format was released last May. Titled Jean Leloupthe song allowed Kearney to “let this thirst for life that inhabits us all speak”, he explains. “Take a road trip with your best friends, experience love at 100 miles per hour, naively believe in the Quebec-American dream or celebrate with your idol,” she adds.

To pour AMERICA, Simone Kearney invited Philippe B, Simon Lachance, Jérôme 50 and Kinkead for the lyrics. We find songs in collaboration with Steve Beezy, Lou-Adriane Cassidy and drummer Dominique Messier (Céline Dion). The album was co-produced by Kearney himself and Marc Chartrain (Patrice Michaud, Daniel Bélanger). The latter also provided drums, percussion, programming and sampling, while Kearney he has dealt with vocals, guitars, bass, percussion, piano, synthesizers and programming. In addition, there are the choirs of Gabrielle Shonk, the presence of the Montreal Hornstars (formed by saxophonists Jules Payette and Mario Allard, trumpeter David Carbonneau and trombonist Renaud Gratton), the Esca quartet (formed by cellist Sophie Coderre, violinists Amélie Lamontagne , Edith Fitzgerald and double bass player Geneviève Bigonesse) and finally the Quebec cornetto choir. The latter is composed of Simone KearneyHenri Kinkead (Kinkead), Jérôme Casabon, Jean-do Hamel, Pierre-Hervé Goulet and Gabriel Arseneau.

AMERICA will be made available on the Oziko.com store and digital platforms on September 30th.
