Simon Cowell has spent £ 250,000 on Lauren Silverman’s engagement ring, the Daily Mirror reports.
After finally deciding to ask the fateful question of his longtime partner and mother of his seven-year-old son Eric, the music mogul, known for his “X factor” and “Britain’s Got Talent” formats, estimated that a quarter of a million was enough to make Lauren to “feel special”.
Lauren, 44, was spotted wearing a huge 15-carat diamond ring while walking around Malibu, California, where the family was staying after a vacation in Barbados, where Simon fell to his knees and received an affirmative answer.
Acquaintances claim that Simon hit the ring she wanted to own because she gave him some “important hints” about the type of jewelry.
“He chose the diamond himself and fell to one knee on the beach. Both Lauren and Simon were bombarded with congratulatory messages – both super excited“, say relatives.
Cowell, 62, did not intend to officially retire, so Lauren did not hope for such a gesture, but it happened, according to secular boudoirs.
The two met in the luxury resort of Sandy Lane in the Caribbean in 2004, when Lauren was still married to her then-husband Andrew Silverman.
