Talent scout Simon Cowell went down on his knees and got a “yes” from his girlfriend Lauren SIlverman, and is now engaged after several years together as a couple.
Representatives of Cowell confirm the engagement to the American magazine People.

On Christmas Eve, the couple was in Barbados, which is also the same place where they first met. While on a beach trip together, Cowell chose to make the trip extra special.
He went down on his knees in the sand and proposed to Silverman.
The couple was on a family vacation, and their son Eric (7) and Silverman’s eldest son Adam (16) were present during the courtship.
The turtle doves post little about each other on social media, but often appear together on the red carpet. Cowell has previously praised the woman in her life for who she is:

Silverman and Cowell’s love story dates back to 2004, while Silverman was still married to businessman Andrew Silverman. He was also a close friend of Cowell.
In 2013, it became known that Silverman was expecting a child with Cowell, and a divorce was therefore filed between Andrew and Lauren.
In 2014, Cowell and Silverman had their first child together. The “America’s got talent” judge has previously said that he brought out a softer side of himself when he became a father, and that the ultrasound images were the first thing that made an impression on him.
