Michael Packard said he was diving when he was surprisingly in the mouth of the sea giant for about 30-40 seconds. At that time he was looking for lobster in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

Packard, 56, told the Cape Cod Times that he and his crew rode their boat, the Ja’n J, from Herring Cove on Friday morning, when weather conditions were excellent, with water visibility of about 20 feet.
“After jumping off the boat with my scuba gear into the water, I felt this big lump and everything went black,” he told WBZ-TV News.
He thought he had been attacked by one of the great white sharks that used to swim in the area. “Then I groped around and I realized there were no teeth,” he said.
“And then I realized, ‘Oh my God, I was in the whale’s mouth and he was trying to swallow me. This is it, I’m going to die’.”
