IDXChannel – Application TikTok is testing the Repost button, which is a new way for users to share videos.
According to a TechCrunch report, this button is the same as the feature Retweet from Twitter which allows users to share videos and will appear in the timeline.
The Repost button reportedly appears below the screen’s right share arrow, a button where users can post TikTok videos directly to friends or post to social media.
“We’re always thinking of new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. Right now, we’re experimenting with new ways for people to share the TikTok videos they love,” said a TikTok representative, quoted by CNET, Wednesday. (5/1/2022)
Reposted videos will not appear on the TikTok profile of the person who posted them. Instead, they will only appear on the timeline or what is commonly called For Your Page TikTok.
The Repost option only appears if you find a video on the For You page. This means that the video won’t appear if you find the video on the Discover page or in a message in your TikTok inbox.
Currently, TikTok users Those who want to share a video have the option of Stitch or Duet, which requires them to contribute in some way, either by reacting or adding a clip.
The Repost button will allow users to share the clip without adding or creating their own content.
