AROUCA: – Simba did not have the day either physically or mentally. He couldn’t take what was required in Europe, so we took him out, says an honest Erik Huseklepp to BA.
Brann’s assistant coach saw the same thing as everyone else: Simba didn’t hang in at left-back. Arouca built up time and time again on that side, and the prelude to the goal began with the 23-year-old selling himself high up the pitch.
After the break, it was Thore Pedersen who stood at left back for Brann.
– I struggled to stand properly

– Yes I have. The boys in the dressing room give me a lot of support and remind me that this is actually only my second game as a back. It’s not going to happen overnight and I’m going to stand by it. I’m not giving up, he says firmly.
Eirik Horneland takes his substitute back in defence.
– Simba had a really good match against HamKam at the weekend, but has not had enough time to fully recover after it. That’s why we took him out, says Brann’s head coach.
