The Lebanese actor Silvio Sarkis was a guest of the editor-in-chief of the Al-Fan media website, Hala Murr, in her weekly program, “Ma Badda Halaqad.”
Silvio talked about his studies in directing at the university and they addressed the issue of the lack of comedic works in light of the public’s thirst for this production. He indicated that he wrote an episode of a comedy series, noting that he wished its heroine would be actress Maggie Bou Ghosn.
He talked about the works in which he participated, most notably “Sweet and Liar,” noting that he was young at the time and did not have enough space to highlight his talent. He also talked about the series “The Republic of Noon” and the audience’s love for him. He also talked about his cooperation with the late writer Marwan Najjar in more than one work, about their meeting for the first time, and that he considered him like his son.
Silvio pointed out that his parents were supportive of him from the beginning and stressed that he did not get any work through intermediaries, even though he knew that there was favoritism in this field. He pointed out that what bothers him is that there are no roles for actors his age and there are no works centered around teenagers or university students.
He talked about the testimony of some of his actors, such as actress Faten Shaheen, who predicted that he would become a star, and expressed his happiness with Nadine Nassib Njeim’s opinion of him. Silvio indicated that he is not looking for absolute championship, but rather is satisfied with collective championship, and that he aspires to act abroad, such as in Spain, and spoke about his journey to the world of Hollywood.
Silvio talked about his close relationship with his family and who is the person he described as the love of his life?
