The biggest intrigue was connected with his last permanent lady – the 53-year-younger politician Marta Fescin, whom Berlusconi was not officially married to, but had a symbolic wedding a year and a half ago. The girlfriend is really not left behind – Berlusconi has bequeathed her 100 million euros.
Berlusconi died at the age of 86 and had left a handwritten will; it dates back to October 2 of last year, when it was already known about his health problems.
The wealth of the Italian ex-premier is estimated at six billion euros. The lion’s share will go to his two eldest children, born from his first marriage (Berlusconi was officially married twice). The eldest children will receive a substantial majority of shares from Berlusconi’s publishing, television and banking portfolio. The remaining parts must be divided among all five children of the billionaire.
In the inheritance, 100 million euros are also intended for Berlusconi’s younger brother Paolo. And, of course, 100 million for the beloved woman whom the politician called his wife at the end of his life. The couple was together from 2020.
30 million bequeathed to Berlusconi’s business partner Marcello Del Utri, who was also a close friend of Berlusconi’s, linked to the Italian mafia. Berlusconi commented on the amount left to both his girlfriend and boyfriend in his will with the words: “In gratitude for your love.”
There is no word on how the deceased’s real estate will be divided, including a villa in Sardinia where he once hosted high-profile guests, including Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The value of this house is almost 270 million euros.
Berlusconi died on June 12. In April, he was diagnosed with leukemia, or blood cancer. For years, Berlusconi had various health problems, from heart surgery in 2016 to the coronavirus in 2020.
Entering politics at the age of 57, Berlusconi held the position of prime minister three times between 1994 and 2011, spending a total of nine years as head of government. However, his influence was much wider than politics, because he owned the largest commercial television channels, and until 2017 he was the owner of the football club “AC Milan”. Berlusconi’s bright lifestyle name often made the front pages of newspapers, even in recent years.
