Jackie Stallone, the mother of Hollywood actor Silvestra Stallone, died earlier this week, the BBC reports.
Jackie Stallone, who participated in the celebrity “Big Brother” reality show, passed away at the age of 98.
Frank, the deceased’s youngest son, has discovered that his mother “died asleep as she wished”.
Jeklīne Francis Labofiša was born on November 29, 1921. At the age of 15, she fled her home in Washington to join the circus. “My father, who was a wealthy lawyer, wanted me to go to law, but I wanted to be on stage,” Jackie told The Times in 2005.
She worked as a trapeze artist for two years before working as a choir girl on Broadway. In 1945, Jackie married her first husband, Frank Stalloni Sr., where she was a hairdresser and worked as an actor. The couple lived together for 12 years and had two sons: actor Silvester and musician Frank.
Jackie also had a daughter, Tony D’Alto, who was born in his second marriage to Antonio Philiti. Tony died of lung cancer in 2012 at the age of 48.
