Over 1.1 million Norwegians sat down in front of the TV screen last Saturday to catch the premiere The NRK success «Maskorama».
The program can probably be considered the country’s biggest guessing game, and so far we have only been told that Arve Juritzen (61) «was» the frog.
This is what she says about the future
However, it is several weeks until we get to know which celebrities have hidden behind all the masks, and the secrecy surrounding the participants can make any curious person walk on the wall.
Until the winner is chosen, only small hints are dripped to the audience.

She knows this
Nor does host Silje Nordnes (36) know anything more than the viewers. So how do they really get the rehearsals going without her meeting the participants?
– I have my own rehearsals, and then I’m alone there – in addition to the crew, of course, but the participants are not there. When I do not have samples or am on shipment, I am in a hotel room out there, she tells Dagbladet.
“Maskorama” is recorded at X Meeting Point on Hellerudsletta outside Lillestrøm.

Nordnes also assures that she knows nothing more than the man in the street.
– I see the figures when we have a broadcast, but beyond that I will also see as little as possible, she continues, and adds that she does not get any extra hints.

What happens when a participant smokes?
When asked how it is done when a participant breaks out, especially considering that Nordnes can quickly provide information about the celebrity to TV viewers, she explains:
– Just before the session there, I get a card that says who it is on. I also get to know it by ear, so it’s double communication.
– I’m very happy that it’s like that, really. This makes it easier to be on a team with the viewers. And then I do not have to worry about saying something wrong or revealing something, she continues.

Rituals
– Do you have any rituals before you go on stage for broadcast?
– I have full focus on what I am going to do, and then it is the script that I push and repeat again and again. If there are any nerves or high heart rate, I might do some breathing exercises, close my eyes and breathe in and out slowly, she says, and adds with a laugh:
– But I do not have any panties of happiness, that is!

Future
As the host of such a popular program as the “Maskorama”, it naturally also comes with some attention around Nordnes.
Before the premiere, she visited the podcast «Summa summarum», where she invited listeners closer to her privacy. Among other things, she told about the time after “P3morgen”, the way forward and the future.

When asked by the hosts Kjersti Kvam and Ragnhild Bang Nes about what she is most – and least – looking forward to by getting older and finally old, Nordnes answered:
– I can not say that I dread, really, I do not really do it. Let’s not call it a problem, but my challenge now, when it comes to envisioning the future, is that I do not know if I will have children, for example. I do not know if I will find a partner. I do not have anyone in sight, she replies, and points out that this is exactly what is extremely open.
Such was the double life
– On the one hand, I can have a partner, we have children and settle down, and that’s great. But I can also imagine that I am moving abroad and doing something completely different – and then it can also be great. I do not know exactly what it will be yet, she continued.
