A silent tour was held in Rotterdam for the shot DJ and producer Siki Martina. Several hundred people attended the memorial. The 31-year-old Rotterdammer was arrested on Sunday 10 July at the Coolhaven metro station shot dead.

The commemoration started at Martina’s parental home on the Bermdijk in South Rotterdam and ended in the Zuiderpark. It wasn’t exactly a ‘silent’ trip; because Martina had a great passion for music, a brass band joined them and there was also dancing. Sarita Lorena, Martina’s girlfriend, gave a speech in the Zuiderpark.

Much is still unclear about the shooting that killed Martina. Last week, the Public Prosecution Service reported that shooting had taken place between two parties.

The police arrested a 34-year-old man from Steenbergen a day after the shooting. Last Tuesday, a second suspect arrested, a 31-year-old man from Rotterdam. It is possible that more people will be arrested.

Siki Martina worked as a producer on songs by Frenna and Rich Kalashh and was the DJ for rapper SXTEEN. His girlfriend Sarita Lorena is a participant in the TV show this season Dear Singers.
