Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama has left Sony to form a new studio. The new studio is called Bokeh Game Studio and he is working with developers from Gravity Rush and The Last Guardian.
Toyama had been working for PlayStation for 20 years, but has now decided to start on his own, together with a few old colleagues. The new studio recently shared a video in which they share their reasons for starting Bokeh Game Studio for themselves. The developers working with Toyama include The Last Guardian producer Kazunobu Sato and Gravity Rush head designer Junya Okura. Besides the Silent Hill games, Tomoya was a producer at Siren and Gravity Rush. ‘First of all, I want to fulfill the expectations of our fans,’ explains Tomoya. ‘But I also want to return to the feeling of pleasure that I experience while creating games. I want to share that feeling with the players’. No information has yet been given about the projects the studio will be working on.
The video from Bokeh Game Studio came out on December 3.
