Hitekno.com – After leaving Sony, creators Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama is known to be developing a new project. Through The . event Game Awards, the person behind Silent Hill introduces game horor new name Slitterhead.
Toyama left Sony Japan Studio in September 2020. He later founded Bokeh Game Studio with Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura.
Around the first quarter ago, Toyama already gave a sign that they were working on a new horror game. During the 2021 The Game Awards, Bokeh Game Studio finally released the first trailer for a new horror game called Slitterhead.
This “horror-action” game makes you have to fight strange skeleton monsters. Quoted from Engadget, Keiichiro Toyama is famous for his series of works such as Silent Hill, Siren, and the Gravity Rush series.
The trailer shows a male worker who appears to be seduced by a beautiful and sexy woman on a deserted street. Unexpectedly, the woman turned into a scary monster.
The mouth expands and the neck begins to elongate. The silhouette on the wall implied that the woman had turned into a skeleton monster. Its long, grass-like legs can remind us of mythological creatures in Japan.
Toyama still has not provided details of the storyline in the horror game. But the trailer implies that the game will offer bloodier scenes than Silent Hill.
The main character is seen slaughtering several monsters that have a strange appearance on the head. Bokeh Game Studio has not made an announcement regarding when Slitterhead will be released.
Slitterhead still inherits the Silent Hill flavor as its former composer, Akira Yamaoka, also worked on this horror game project. Many fans gave positive responses in the trailer video comments column.
Not a few of them are impatiently waiting for a new horror game from the creators of Silent Hill. The sound effects and appearance of the monsters so far seem quite promising. Hopefully the full version can give fans a positive surprise.
