Atalanta failed to beat Juventus in the Italian League standings. The failure was because La Dea fell 0-1 to Fiorentina.
Atalanta travel to the Artemio Franchi Stadium, Florence, Sunday (20/2/2022), in the continuation of the Serie A competition. The visiting team has a mission to overtake Juventus.
Prior to the match, Atalanta was ranked fifth with 44 points from 25 matches, three points adrift of Juventus in fourth place who had played 26 times. Victory will make Atalanta have to move up to third position, because even though the points are the same, Atalanta are head-to-head.
However, Atalanta failed to get three points against Fiorentina. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team even fell at the Fiorentina headquarters.
Atalanta’s goal was broken by Krzysztof Piatek in the 56th minute. One goal was the difference at the end of the game.
The result keeps Atalanta in fifth place with 44 points, behind Juventus. While Fiorentina rose to rank 7 with 42 points.
