Silence Chelsea 1-0, Leicester City Champions League 2020-2021: Okezone the ball

LONDONLeicester City came out as the champion FA Cup 2020-2021. The Foxes – nicknamed Leicester City – ensure the title after overthrowing Chelsea in the final party.

Taking place at Wembley Stadium, Sunday (16/5/2021) early morning WIB, Leicester won the match against Chelsea with a score of 1-0. Youri Tielemans also appeared to be a hero after scoring the only goal in the match.

The course of the match

First round

The match started, Chelsea immediately took the initiative to attack. Thomas Tuchel’s squad appeared full of pressure to steal a goal early in the match. However, their efforts have not paid off.

Until 15 minutes, Chelsea appeared to dominate. Even so, Leicester also occasionally carried out attacks which had made the Chelsea defense a little inconvenient. However, Leicester did not get any meaningful opportunities.

Second round

Entering the second half, Chelsea and Leicester both appeared open. They both display an attacking game to steal a goal in this second half.

However, the efforts of the two teams in the early minutes of the second half were fruitless. Until finally in the 63rd minute, the deadlock broke when Leicester succeeded in breaking into Kepa Arrizabalaga’s goal.

Youri Tielemans appeared as a savior for Leicester after scoring a beautiful goal against Chelsea. Starting from Luke Thomas’ bait, Tielemans then continued with a hard kick that slid into the left corner of the Chelsea goal. The score changed 1-0 for Leicester’s advantage.

After conceding, Chelsea stepped up attacks. Even in the final 20 minutes, Chelsea continued to pound the Leicester defense. Schmeichel also had to work hard to keep the net from being conceded.

In the 89th minute, drama occurs when Chelsea scores a goal against Leicester through Ben Chilwell’s effort. Unfortunately the goal was thwarted by VAR because Chilwell was in an offside position when he received a pass from Thiago Silva.

Unfortunately until the game ended, no goals were scored. As a result, when the referee blew the long whistle to mark the end of the game, Leicester managed to ensure victory with a score of 1-0. These results make Leicester win the 2020-2021 FA Cup.
