Sikou Niakaté Called Up for Mali National Team for CAN 2024: Absent from Sp. Braga until January 24th

Sikou Niakaté is called up by the Mali national team for CAN 2024, which takes place in January and February, in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Sp. Braga defender is part of the list of 27 players released by the Malian coach, Éric Chelle, which also includes Falaye Sacko, former Vitória de Guimarães right-back.

This means that Niakaté will be absent for Braga’s coach, Artur Jorge, at least until January 24th, the date on which the group stage ends.

Mali is part of CAN group E, along with South Africa, Namibia and Tunisia.
