Signs of diabetes in the eye
1- Change in night vision
Often, the first hint that something is wrong with your vision is when your night vision begins to deteriorate, and common symptoms include seeing halos around lights and difficulty distinguishing objects at night.
2- Secretions or infection
An eye exam allows the specialist to assess the general health of your eyes and the area around them. Sometimes discharge means infection, and some infections often go away on their own.
Eye infections can be contagious, causing itching, redness, and discharge.

3- Vision disturbances
Vision disturbances include phenomena such as halos, black spots, or floaters that appear to move across your eyes, and can indicate a serious eye problem. If such things appear suddenly, whether accompanied by a headache or not, you may need to seek immediate medical attention from Optometrist.
Sometimes such disorders result from serious conditions such as retinal holes or retinal detachment.
4- Chronic eye strain
It is commonly experienced by people from all walks of life, and is often caused by spending too much time in front of a computer screen or reading too little text.
However, if your discomfort doesn’t go away relatively soon after resting your eyes, or if it continues for 3 days or more, you may have something more serious than simple eye strain.
5- Light sensitivity
Infections, corneal abrasions, and disorders such as meningitis can cause your vision to become more sensitive to light than normal.
And if you notice sudden sensitivity to light that does not go away after a short period of time, or if it comes back intermittently, you should talk to your doctor.

6- Difficulty concentrating
Like eye strain, difficulty focusing can stem from similar causes including small print or computer screens, however, if you find that you are having difficulty focusing on a particular thing in your field of vision, or if there is any blurring when trying to focus on one thing , this may indicate a larger problem.
